The appellant filed an appeal before the Court of Appeal in which he sought an order for a re-trial of his petition filed in December 1988 at the election petition tribunal by the same panel of the tribunal which heard the petition the first time.
The complaint of the appellant is that the having been screened and cleared by the 2nd respondent and his name sent to SSS for security clearance he should have been the people’s Democratic Party’s chairmanship candidate for Ikwerre Local Government Area Council instead of the 1st respondent.
